Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PetMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities under it. You must be at least 16 years old to use PetMate.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant PetMate a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform. You must not post content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or violates others' rights.

4. Pet Listings & Adoption

PetMate facilitates connections between pet owners and adopters but does not guarantee any adoption outcomes. Users are responsible for verifying the health, temperament, and legal status of animals. All adoption agreements are between the parties involved.

5. Prohibited Activities

• Selling animals for profit without proper licensing
• Posting misleading information about pets
• Harassment, spam, or abusive behavior
• Attempting to circumvent platform security
• Using the platform for illegal animal trade

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid features are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled per our refund policy. Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance.

7. Privacy

Your use of PetMate is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described therein.

8. Limitation of Liability

PetMate is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the platform, including but not limited to pet health issues, failed adoptions, or data loss.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings.
